Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Sorry to hear your little guy is hurting. I would take him to the vet ASAP.
Did his bark sound normal or was it raspy?
Could be several things, but he is clearly in pain. Could be something stuck in his throat or throat inflammation, could be gastro pain, or could be a back/neck/shoulder strain or injury.
I've had all of these happen with Max and Teddy where they yelped loudly when they tried to bark. The last one was a severe neck strain that required prescription meds and restricted activity, both to prevent further injury.
