You are placing the lives of your precious pups in the hands of your vet--and his/her staff, as well. It's vital that you have a comfortable and immediate connection. It is critically important that the staff and vet respond to any and all concerns and that they really hear you. There have been times when I called my vet, not really able to say what was wrong with my cat, dog...just they weren't 'acting right' or some equally vague explanation and the tech taking call checked w/vet and I was always, always seen within 24hrs. I have always been made to feel right about my concerns--even when all was well. Of course, I am lucky to have the best veterinarian ever and have been with Dr. Patti for over 20 years. As I said, I trust her with the lives of my most precious babes--it's important she "get" me (which lord knows ain't always easy!). Oh, don't worry about the records being forwarded; I had same situation (records not released) and was able to tell Patti most of pet's history and she took it from there---no problem at all.
