Ears go up and down all the time....an 8 week old baby MAY have both ears up, but if they are up, you shouldnt be dismayed if they drop again with teething...they will/can go back down, one or both of them, and then they usually go back upright....I will usually start taping ears at 16-18 weeks if they are not STAYING upright, or if they have BEEN up and then dropped.... If I have a baby whose ears have not indicated they are going to stand, then I start taping them at 10 weeks......I start shaving the hair from pups ear tips from the time they are 5-6 weeks old, just to lighten the load on those precious little bitty ears.....
