My 2 males are neutered 6 and 7 year old adults. Teddy humps Max a little when he gets excited, general happy excitement. We use a happy voice to say, "Teee-ddddy, no!" He quits and doesn't feel scolded.
I agree with Ann's advice too, directing to a plush toy. Anything to redirect attention will help and may lessen Roxie's tendency to go for Lexi even when you are not supervising.
