Oh I hear ya. When my girl had intestinal infection, she had made one big mess before she stopped going number 2 for almost 3 days. I was concerned but the vet assured me that she probably emptied herself pretty good the last time and to wait another day or two before bringing her in is she doesn't go. Lo and behold she went that very night and alot XD yea... I know that feeling when you are actually glad she's pooped ^^; But 2 and a half days sounds about right, when my girl was fixed it took about that long for her to start back up again.
