Any time they get in there and start moving "innards" around, like they do when the babies have abdominal surgery, the body responds by slowing everything down...that includes "peristalsis" or movement of the intestines that moves poop along.....this is normal, the body's way of allowing any injury or surgery done to the intestines, time to heal before activity starts again. While, spaying has nothing to do with cutting into the intestines/stomach/etc, the body only knows that there has been an assault to this dogs insides, so everything just slows down or stops, to allow those insides to heal....completely normal. She should start to have bm's again when you start to feed her in a day or so post op....
