My vet told me to warm some towels in a dryer , bath the dog with a good lather of just your regular shampoo and then wrap them up in towel for 5 minutes ....keeping them warm as possible ...this will suffocate the fleas. Then wash every thing in sight they have laid especially sleeping blankets ANNNND vacuum your carpets really well disposing of sweeper bag. This will get rid of any eggs getting ready to hatch. This has completely worked for me. Good luck!
