We got our puppy 5 days ago at 8 weeks so we are still working on pad training. So far she is doing great! She hasn't pooped anywhere other than on the pad in the last few days and she pees on the pad about 80% of the time. She hasn't made her way out of the living room yet and we have no rugs in there so that makes it easier. If we walk to the kitchen she will just follow us to the end of the living room and stop and wait for us to come back. I'm sure she'll want to explore eventually but we're certainly not giving her any ideas!
We use an x-pen and have her puppy pad on a holder inside of that.
