She has thickening of the lens that is for the most part, part of the aging process and we have to watch her for cataracts. Then she has a condition where the muscles that control the irises are weak causing her eyes to be constantly dilated. Vet said its not painful unless she is in bright light, but she could be having issues with focus causing her some confusion and could contribute to her reacting with aggression. She has this in both eyes which I took to be somewhat uncommon. We are going to try some meds to ease her anxiety. Funny, I always thought it was my Mylee who had anxiety issues and needed Valium, but I can see where Moka's anxiety is altogether different. From here she'll need a doggie ophthalmologist. Anyway, thought you might be interested in the update. |
ABSOLUTELY!! Thank you for the update....we hear/read about issues in these babies, offer suggestions, and never hear from the person again, so TES!!! a response is MUCH appreciated....plus we actually do CARE!! A doggie ophthomologist is your next step and they may very well be able to make this baby 80-95%!! Keep us informed!
