I am very happy to hear is recovering well from surgery, aside from the tummy problems. Which anti-inflammatories was he on? My Max has done well with Rimadyl, but I know side effects like internal bleeding are a big concern with some dogs. I don't think Teddy has ever had it. He is my more sensitive boy.
For pain control, there are definitely alternatives your vet can prescribe.
