Yorkies can be very emotionally sensitive but usually a lot of attention and companionship will settle them down after a little while. My little girl cries when my daughter comes to visit. She moved to her own place over a year ago and Gracie still misses her. When DD comes in the door Gracie puts on quite a show with whining and crying as though she had been mistreated all the time she was gone! It is really quite a sight. But when DD sits down and holds Gracie for a while she settles down and is fine.

Your baby waking up and crying at night is quite concerning. I think it would be worth having her checked out, just in case. Keep watching he potty habits and other behaviors for anything different. Sometimes it is the little things that give the best clues of what is going on.
