I have received a letter from the breeder with a check for reimbursement of the price of the puppy, but more importantly she said she is retiring from the business. Her explanation of how parvo got into her home sounded questionable so I am continuing to pursue some unanswered questions. Marion County Animal Control is still looking into the case and I'm hoping one of us will get some satisfactory answers.

I certainly hope this wasn't a Personal Check. There you risk it probably not being good and then your charged by your bank for it.

I highly doubt she will retire from breeding. It's her Money Maker.
