I agree. Most vets don't know much about nutrition and yes will want to sell you their food. My vet says not to give people food, but then all the high quality foods tout human grade ingredients, LOL! Yes I give people food, fruits, veggies, milk, cheese, on occasion bread. He also said a big fat no to coconut oil bc of Uni's pancreatitis. But CO is a medium chain triglyceride, different than long chains that will trigger pancreatitis. I've been giving Uni CO for years since her bouts with no ill effects.

About the vinegar, you should use organic raw ACV such as Bragg's. Normal ACV will not have any of the benefits. I use it on myself. It has helped, a little, with my dry, itchy skin. I use it as a toner on my face, and spray on my hair. It does not smell after it is dried. You can use it as a rinse after a bath for the dogs for shiny hair. Could help with the itchies too if she has it.
