When a male breeds or becomes sexually active, he also starts hiking his leg to pee on every piece of furniture, walls, etc in your house and yard....marking HIS territory. Dogs do not have the capacity of thought to see what is going to be in their future....he is not looking forward to start breeding, unless there is a female in heat, and if he is not old enough to be sexually matured (usually around 8-10 months of age), he wont be triggered to mate a female coming into season.....it is all triggered strictly by hormones, not wants and wishes by either the male or the female....they have no concept of what they have never experienced....your little male is not thinking he is just about a "full growed man" and needs to be sowing his oats!

Go into every breeding with your dogs, with the reality that it may very well cost you the life of your female, or the puppies, or the entire shooting match. If you are not breeding quality, show bound dogs, dont go there.
