I have both the small and regular CC wooden pin brushes for Katie. She has a beautiful silk coat, but it is also very thick and hot for her. I need to use a comb, as well, because a wooden pin brush misses some tangles. I also have the CC gold pin brush (suggested by Gemy) and a Madan brush from Jenny. The wooden pin brushes are amazing; I use them on my own hair, and it's also very gentle for Katie when I use either of them. I prefer the smaller size, especially for the face and legs, but for these areas I also use a CC #6 buttercomb or aMadan mustache comb, which is one third the cost of the CC one. I love the CC #12 comb also, and I use that one a lot. I would not hesitate to buy the Madan brushes or combs, though, and Jenny is wonderful to purchase from. As long as you also use a comb or other gentle pin brush with the CC wooden pin brushes, I think you will love them.
