sorry for your loss, but something fishy is going on. How well do you know the previous owners? Why did they give Baxter up? I have a 5 year old yorkie mix and have had 4 other yorkies, mature yorkies that are healthy or even reasonably healthy do not go into "sugar shock" or dehydration in just an hour or two. Lola can go for hours without drinking or eating, and is just fine. If your dog could not handle an hour or so without water something else was definitely going on. |
