Haven't been on here in awhile, but wanted to update on Tyrone's response to Apoquel, which he has been on for about 7 months. It has really been great for him, though not perfect. Within an hour of taking the first 1/2 pill, his itching was gone. Stayed that way for awhile. He is still better than when he was on Atopica. However he does have an occasional flare up, and I have to up his dosage to twice a day again until it subsides. Really no side effects or other problems at all at this point. I pay 85.00 for 100 pills, about a half year supply...huge savings over 60.00 a month for Atopica. So generally I am happy with this drug. His quality of life is definitely improved. Hope all those other allergic fur babies out there are doing great! Happy New Year!
