I honestly don't see how two puppies that differ greatly in size can play together at all, even the nicest puppies use their paws and teeth to play and by accident the little one can be easily hurt. Even under supervision I don't see it working, because how can you 3' or 4' away be able to protect a paw from coming down on the yorkie. Our neighborhood seems to be full of labs and goldens all very friendly but when excited they sort of jump up with their paws. Recently I took Lola for a walk and out of nowhere two young excited, friendly, playful labs came bouncing up to us, they were ready to play but before I could lift her up they were on top of her, both Lola and I were very scared. Often on here and on facebook I see videos of yorkies playing with other, and even at the same size I am amazed that one or both don't wind up hurt, puppies play hard and don't realize that hey I am bigger I need to be careful, they just don't think like that. My last yorkie was playing with my girlfriends cat and must have scratched the cats eye, because it became infected and she had to be treated at the vet a day after they were rolling around on the floor.
