Welcome to Yorkie Talk, congratulations on your puppy. It sounds like you live on the same piece of property but not in the same house, if that is the case it should be OK in the long run. However if it was me I would not encourage playing, the setter mix will be a much bigger dog within a few months and the yorkie will still be little, Irish setters and Goldens are high strung and he will have puppy play behavior for several years, even when careful a paw or play bite can be very harmful to your yorkie. Often yorkies do better with older large dogs because the older dog is not trying to engage in play and just stays away or is calm around the small dog. My friend has a large golden and I have to keep a tight rein on my Lola for fear her dog will step on her by accident. If you live in separate houses just leave the pup home when visiting each other. I love Sonoma, one of my most favorite places to visit, I also noticed when we were there in May that hawks and possibly eagles seemed to be circling and hunting everywhere I went. Unfortunately hawks would think nothing of picking up a yorkie so I hope you pup does not run loose in a large yard or park.
