Young Yorkie Pup and much larger Irish Retriever Pup Help and Advice. Yorkie pup and much larger pup!

Finding my way around the site. Hello! I hope this is the place to be. I have a 4 month old Yorkie who is all of 3 pounds, if that. He is fine boned, slim, bright, and feisty! He loves children. Although he is much more timid that my previous way joyful Yorkie. We're all different! I live on the same property with my son and his family. "Santa" brought them a "Irish Retriever," Setter and Golden mix. He is 10 weeks. He will be a BIG DOG. They have been playing enthusiastically for about 5 days. Johnny B. Goode, (Yorkie), has been aggressive with tail wagging when possible, often dominant with the pup. They play hard. Johnny can get away when he wants. He is more agile and faster than Clancy, the pup. However, I am feeling wary and need to know about other experience and advice.
I know I will not be able to keep Johnny if they can not interact. That's just a fact. Private explanation available, but not here. There are almost always two of us supervising their play, indoors and out. They seem to know boundaries, but------? Thank you for any help.
Many more questions, but this is primary just now. Thank you. |
