A pup that is born gold is not ideal and is a fault. Any breeder who has golden pups should no longer breed the pair that produced them. I have not even heard of pups born gold.

Adults on the other hand, I have two very light ones. One is gold and very very light blue. The other is almost all silver. Both those coats are also faults. It's not ideal, it's not to comformation, and it's not rare. If a breeder charges more for it, the breeder is questionable. That being said, you can't tell the final coat color until they are at least 2-3 years old. The only way you can get what you want is to adopt an adult.
