I found my boys' breeder through Pet Finder or one of those sites that is not usually recommended. Took a lot of looking, and when I found my first boy's photo, I researched the breeder (now retired). Breeders who exhibit dogs are usually easier to research because there is more info on the web about them and their breeding lines.
I agree with Wylie's Mom to start with YTCA site. If you have dog shows in your area, that is a good way to network and get recommendations.
