Omg silly question - are females affectionate?

Ok.....first let me start off by saying I'm a worry wart by nature, I can't help it. 2nd, we've always had male dogs. Paisley is only 10wks old. I'm trying to stick to my guns with her and do things "right". Bailey, our late Maltese, was 8wks when we got him. He cried so much at night I caved and put him in bed. Grady, our 7yr old Coton, was 4mo when we got him. He was sleeping in bed within a week.

With Paisley, she seems so small (2.5lbs). We have a new mattress set that is much higher off the ground.... I just don't feel like having her in bed is safe. Plus, she moves around so much when she's slept on my lap...that makes me scared she'd fall off the bed. So, she's been sleeping in the dining room without fuss. Yesterday she started going to the pee pads in the dining room from playing in the living room to potty on her own. Today.....She just put herself to bed! I was holding her because I could tell she was getting tired and fighting sleep. When I've done this before I'd rub her ears and she'd go to sleep in my lap. Then I'd transfer her to her bed. Tonight she was super squirmy so I put her down to see what she was going to do. She trotted off to the dining room, climbed up on her bed and laid down! I waited a min or two to see if she was going to get back up. She didn't so I got up and put up the open gate....She didn't get up. There hasn't been a peep.

I'm nervous she's not going to be an affectionate dog when she gets older! We're working on the biting now (yes, normal puppy stuff). I love and kiss on her as much as she'll allow. But, never having a female before I'm not sure if I'm expecting too much or am freaking out too soon.

I don't think the breeder spent as much time with the puppies as she claimed. She was always getting a bath because she "rolled in poop in the pen" but I've had her 10days and that's NEVER happened here. The house was way too chaotic for my preferences. I know she was handled rough by a young child, in my presence, when I was picking her up so who knows what happened before I saved her. The breeder had the puppies around a full grown pitt bull. Just a lot of things I found out at the time I picked her up I wasn't happy with.

Opinions??
