I have a separate room for my plant that my cats are never allowed in. I have 3 cats now and they KNOW to stop at the door -- I always have my water spray bottle with me (never works on dogs).

I am a single person in a 3 bedroom home so I have been able to keep my cactus.

We live in Louisiana now and I am down to 1 beaver tail that thrives in all this rain -- something I never thought I would see again as they are a desert plant.

ALL other plants went in the trash as they are not to be around cats. Instead, I planted catnip grasses for all the outdoor cats to enjoy at their will as we have a large colony in this area.

Plants and animals mostly do not mix. I'd rather have my animals as they give me unconditional love and never care what I look like in the morning--they just want to be scratched, fed, and held - 2 weigh 12 pounds & 1 weighs 3 pounds. They all want held at the same moment.
