Well, today we decided to try the "
water spray" approach when Charlie goes nuts. We pulled into a shopping center and Charlie went nuts! I calmly pulled out the "
water spray" and sprayed him saying "
QUIET." He looked at me we complete shock and stopped barking. The wife and I actually felt the level of power shifting – we were back in control.
Well, ole Charlie starting screaming again so I sprayed him again saying “
QUIET” after each spray. He stopped and looked at me again and stopped. Dang – WE WON!
Well, before I could do anything he starting screaming again. I sprayed him and again (
and again) with absolutely no reaction other than him screaming louder and louder. I gave up. On the way home - he taught us a lesson - he screamed all the way home!
Yes, he beat us again – maybe I can load up the sprayer with pepper spray – that will teach the bugger!
