We use Revolution drops. No oily, and can bath the pup about 2 hours after the drops if you want to. Have used it monthly for about 6 years and not fleas. Keep Capstar around for when we go to the dog shows etc where their may be other dogs with fleas around or if we stay in a hotel room that I am not sure of.
Has always worked well for us and it is dosed by the dogs weight.
