We did not know she had LCP. She was actually diagnosed with LP 1st. That poor girls femoral head was DEAD. The vet said it crumbled in her hand as she took it out. And she never whined. She acted like a happy normal puppy. I think she had the pain for so long she just became accustomed to it and it was a part of her life that she tried to ignore. Then one day she was running across the family room and she went down in a heap screaming in pain. She got up 60 seconds later and went about her business like nothing happened but we had her at the vet the next day. Thankfully we had switched vets and the new vet knew from just how we described her actions that it was LCP and not LP.

Sasha actually looks better now. Because of her pain before she had an arched topline. Since the surgery it is definitely flatter now. It has been 9 months now and the only time we see any issues is when she runs full speed she will still occasionally pull that leg up. It was a tough time to get through but it sounds like with your TLC Zeus will be running around pain free before you know it. Good luck!
