First, I want to say thanks for the encouraging messages and tips. Secondly, I want to update and share that we absolutely adore our little Yorkie, Zoey. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. We crated her for the first few nights, and we didn't hear a peep out of her. However, after a few weeks of getting to know us and spending all day with us (we both work from home), she started to whine for us at night after we went to bed. We tried moving her crate into our room to see if that would help, but it didn't. We put her little dog bed in the middle of our king-sized bed, and that's where she's slept ever since. We wouldn't have it any other way.
I took Zoey back to the shelter to get her groomed last week. While there, I spotted another Yorkie up for adoption, and we hope to bring her home with us tomorrow. We are so excited! |
