Basically as nice silk coat will hang very straight and it will have a lot of shine when a light is shined on it. Also a silk coat will feel very cool to touch.

I often describe it as like a silk pure silk scarf and how it slides over your hand. Many knowledgeable judges do just that when they lift the coat and slide it over their hands. And yes silk is cool to the touch
