I had Barney's removed when he was neutered. I think he was around 7 months. If I had it to do again, I probably wouldn't. I was worried he would get them caught in something and have one rip off. They were very flimsy.

It was a major recovery. Had to keep his little paws wrapped and clean for a while. I can't really remember, but it seems like it was a week or two. Be prepared to see this and feel guilty.
