Well, I'm sure there are as many reasons for diarrhea and vomiting as there are posters so you're bound to get a variety of responses. Were the tummy troubles a known issue with your girl when you adopted her?

I've got a little 3 year old rescue male here that was diagnosed with IBS/IBD. His symptoms were also diarrhea, vomiting and no appetite. He has had a few flare ups, but they are mostly triggered by stress. His digestive system was a mess when we first adopted him last year but as he settled in and got more comfortable it resolved on it's own. He has horrible storm anxiety, and when our summer rainy season hit it flared back up and we finally got a diagnosis. Our vet put him on Budesonide, and after a month we were able to slowly wean him off the meds over another month or so. He's doing great now, but it's really not curable, just maintainable.

Hopefully it's an issue that is much less complex for your girl and your vet will be able to figure it out soon. Good luck. I hope she feels better soon.
