It is not a bad thing to market and I appreciate a company who is willing to share samples and have a rep answer questions but as the consumer we are responsible to know what questions to ask and to keep tabs on recalls etc. if I had a dog food company I would rep it hard
but hopefully, my food would be of such great quality that I wouldn't have to put so much money Into marketing because my satisfied customers and healthy dogs would sell the food for me!
