The back door is usually open for him to come in and out freely as he pleases, but no he's not getting as much exercise because I haven't been walking him as much. You are right, that probably has a lot to do with it. I need to make sure I make enough time to walk him everyday!!! Poor charlie. I feel bad about that. Walking him and the baby together is a task because the leash always gets wrapped around the stroller wheels!

I'm going to make sure to get him a walk in everyday though. I bet that will fix the problem!!
Max was like Charlie when he was a pup and required a fresh pad to poop. Silly boys!

Maybe Charlie doesn't want to leave to center of action to take the time to go outdoors to do his business, or maybe he is concerned about being left out. Maybe he also feels a sense of obligation to stick around -- does he seem protective of you/and or your baby?

Walking always inspires my boys to do their business, so it might help Charlie. I can imagine it is a challenge to handle the stroller and a dog leash. Plus, how is the weather in your area?
