He's both potty pad trained and outside trained. He uses the potty pad unless the back door is open for him to go outside. If his pee pad has anything on it, he wont use it so I have to make sure it stays clean.
The back door is usually open for him to come in and out freely as he pleases, but no he's not getting as much exercise because I haven't been walking him as much. You are right, that probably has a lot to do with it. I need to make sure I make enough time to walk him everyday!!! Poor charlie. I feel bad about that. Walking him and the baby together is a task because the leash always gets wrapped around the stroller wheels!
I'm going to make sure to get him a walk in everyday though. I bet that will fix the problem!!
