Bless your big hearts for taking this precious one in and FINALLY getting her the help and medical care she clearly needed so very badly. I can only imagine the difference she feels, not being in pain. I really can't bring myself to imagine what she's been through...puppy mills are horrific places of death and torture for living beings....they make me SICK.
Feeding 2x a day is just fine, that's what many of us do. You may want to explore some better brands of dog food, perhaps go to Petsmart...they have some decent foods. My fave kibble is available on Amazon - it's Natures Logic...but you may be looking strictly for soft food....? I feed pre-made raw frozen (thawed/soft) by either Primal or Natures Variety.
Treats I like to give are RMBs, CET Chews (on Amazon), Honest Kitchen Beams, Munchy Stix (Amazon).
