I think they were actually staying recall free for quite some time. I believe they were co producing in the diamond plant on the east side that had a lot of issues with foods in their facility being contaminated. They have had a lot of potential nutritional issues though as they used to keep nutrients in special separate nuggets that some dogs would skip. I would say their marketing is the primary sticker for their food popularity- I had such a huge influx of people come into my store saying- hey, do you have that blue food? And still they always want to order it but never know what kind they need or why they need it and half the time then still don't pick it up. Men come in scouring the shelves for it and I offer them other options and they say- well, no, my wife said blue. And that's that! Lol. Marketing is a powerful tool.
