If you socialize them early it breaks their fear of unfamiliar things, which is usually where aggressive behavior stems from. As soon as you bring the pup home begin the potty training and be consistent. Don't be lax about it and they won't realize they have the option to be lax about it.
I have 3 yorkies. 2 regular sized females and one 14lb male. If you have younger children go for a larger one. They are so much more playful and you don't have to stress on their wellbeing as much. The kids can play with them without you having to watch and worry so much. My Toby is an absolute clown. He's definitely got the most personality and all my friends get a kick out him the most.
