Blastomycosis in Dogs: Symptoms, Treatment and Prevention DogHeirs | Where Dogs Are Family Keywords: Blastomycosis, Blastomyces dermatitidis, fungus, pathogen

One of our groups Black Russian Terriers has been diagnosed with this. She is a young gal not yet 18mths old. She is very very ill. There is no confirmed method of transmission for this deadly fungal infection - although it was noted she did have a scraped paw pad on one of our walks in October.

It was definitely contracted with in SouthWestern Ontario at any one of the couple of provincial parks we had our walks on and or a city park. She is under constant vet care and we are all praying for her.

I leave you to read the article attached and in closing ask for your prayers for this young lass.
