My guess if these were my babies, is that the car ride may be less stressful in the long run....unless they're used to being in a crate/travel bags...?
If you go by car, I can highly recommend using the Pet Tube in the back seat of your car - we LOVE that thing for travel for our babies! Got it on Amazon.
