I was just looking for further information on similar situations to ensure I was not over reacting. if you had nothing useful to contributed you should've kept your fingers off the keys. You don't know me personally or the type of care I provide my dog. Just assumptions. My dog waffles is very well loved, a part of the family and very well cared for. Someone is with him 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, myself, a family member or a paid caretaker if he's unable to come with me, unless your a breeder and it's your job, not many dogs get to have someone with them all the time, most people work and leave their dogs at home alone 8 hrs a day do they not?? He gets tons of love, care and attention and it shows in his personality. I receive comments all of the time about the level of care I put into him.
Secondly, he was monitored 24 hours while he was sick. Someone who shouldn't have a pet would go to work, leave them in their kennel and what happens happens.
I did return him for treatment a few hours after my last post which I was going to update when I got a moment, we were just trying to catch up on rest and get back to normal. His x-Rays and bloodwork came back great, except for a few stats that were on the borderline since he was on the verge of dehydration WHICH I caught by the way! They gave him subq, some special recovery food and he came home with me and he instantly felt better within the hour. It took about an hour vet visit overall. I have even took extra days off work to ensure everything is ok. I have a pet because I can responsibility, I have the time, and money isn't an issue plus he has pet insurance. All qualities and perks of a bad pet owner LOL
While we're on topic and you insulted my choice/location of living I am from calgary, which is large and no lack of vets, but since getting waffles work as a consultant has taken me elsewhere for the time being and yes it's isolated, but that's the value of work ethic and how us Canadians sometimes do it eh. take a moment and educate yourself about life outside of Texas. I know they say everything is bigger in TEXAS but I never heard mouthy, insulting opinions being one of them. You may pose to be all that on this forum, but who really knows what you are behind the computer, I doubt it's anything near perfect! It's easy to pass judgement on a computer, that's okay, I excuse your ignorance.
Aside from that, thanks to everyone who was genuinely concerned. Glad to say everything is ok! Definetly a scary experience and I truly feel for anyone who has been in such a situation and perhaps not such a good outcome.
Thats a wrap. Perhaps this thread should be locked since ladyjane failed to control herself. Shame on you. |
