The bad breath has to come from something so either your vet isn't looking close enough (and btw, you can't diagnose "good teeth", really, without an xray) or there is some other issue. Could it be GERD? See the GERD thread in the Health Library. I'd also get a dental opinion from another vet or a vet dentist.

I use Healthy Mouth for mine.
