Default Yorkie acting strange

Hi everyone,
Hoping for some advice. My Reilly is about 4.5 months now. He has been fine all day and ate his meals with no problems. I started making plantains and as I was cooking on the stove he stayed between my feet which was really odd for him. When I moved he stayed by the stove shaking a bit. I gave him some fresh baked chicken and he ate that with no problem. The other odd thing was he just wanted to crawl up on my lap and stay by my side when normally I have to chase him down and bribe him with snacks. That behavior only lasted for a few minutes but was very odd for him. He is fine now. This was the first time I cooked plantains since I got him. I am wondering if the smell of the cooking oil could have made him feel sick? I monitor him pretty closely and have puppy proofed the house so it is unlikely he got into anything else. Any help is greatly appreciated!
THANKS!
