When you say positive for lyme disease, was that a previously diagnosed illness or first discovered when you brought her to the vet on Sunday? I ask only because for the first time in my life, 50 years, found ticks that originated in Western WA on my dog this summer. Ticks in Western WA are pretty rare, not so much this year since we had the driest and warmest summer on record this year.
