What a cutie! He def doesn't have a cotton coat. Cotton coats grow out rather than down, and they grow really really fast. He looks like he has a silky coat coming in, or there is a third type called a modified coat which is kinda in the middle. Keep in mind that a yorkie's final coat takes a few years to finally come in.
