I was so relieved at the vets office.... I was feeling like I might lose custody due to neglect but it wasn't as bad and she didn't make me feel guilty at all. She clipped his nails and the little piece came right out and she cleaned it up and put a little bandage on and gave me some antibiotics and that was it. I was in and out in 15 mins! He didn't even cry and I have to go back in 5 days and not let the bandage get wet. I will never neglect the nails again! Thanks for the responses. She said to come back in 4 weeks after for another clipping.
