 Is it seizures?
Today my 7 year old Sammy had an episode that I believe could be a seizure.
We've never experienced what we did today before. He was laying on my lap. And then just started shaking uncontrollably. You could really see his head shake... his body more of a shiver. I held him tight near my chest and tried to calm him.
This shaking lasted about 2 minutes. Once he wasn't shaking anymore I looked him in the eyes and he appeared "not there" for lack of a better term. He was weak and unable to walk. He's still laying right next to me. Sleepy.
Does this sound like a seizure? If yes, anyone have any experience with seizures?
A call into the on-call vet resulted in let's get him checked out and call back in the morning to schedule an appointment.
Any advice to give me peace of mind please. |
