I had heard that some dog owners swear by the training method of putting doggy diapers on their dog, and then taking the diapers off for only when the dog is outside. I've never tried it but apparently some dogs won't go in the diaper so it makes it so they'll only ever go when they're outside without the diaper on. After awhile outside is their preferred place to go. So maybe that's something you might want to try. Id also say that a potty schedule is probably the most important aspect of housetraining.
