Yorkie puppies can take some time to train. How old is he?
Make sure you are taking him out often. Could be that he isn't getting outdoors at the time he needs to go, or he isn't spending long enough outdoors.
Puppies can also feel vulnerable when pooping. Maybe he is feeling more comfortable indoors? Make sure he feels safe outdoors and has ample time to do his business.
