If you're asking if the GERD could be causing any harm - yes, it most definitely can. GERD is the reflux ("bringing up") of the stomach juices which are VERY acidic and they feel like they're burning your throat -- and they actually can/do damage the tissues in the throat, lending to throat cancer in some people.
