From what I have read, the AKC has recognised the Biewer Terrier as a new breed under their FSS program (foundation stock). If these are descended from 2 purebred Yorkshire Terriers as per Mrs Biewer how can they be a new breed? If they are indeed a new breed then they were originally a mix of 2 or more breeds and not descended from 2 purebred Yorkshire Terriers. Confusing, isn't it?
